Some of the benefits that come with working at a music museum include the opportunity to interact with some big name performers. One such opportunity was with the legendary Colin Hay. It was obviously a big deal for me as I'm a fan of Men at Work. For the evening, I played the role of soundman, recording engineer, photographer and gopher.

It was a very simple set-up. I had two lines for his Turner guitar (one dry and one running through his effects board), a vocal mic for him and a vocal mic for his wife Cecilia Noel (who is a fabulous musician as well!)

Colin was very cordial and extremely pleasant to work with. If you've never seen him play live, go to one of his shows! The dialog he shares with the audience is hilarious.
